WPPI… an incredible experience!

This past week, I attended an awesome photography convention in Las Vegas. It was my first time at WPPI, which stands for Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, and I had a fabulous time. I took every single class I could and learned so much from the leading wedding photographers in the industry. I even got a chance to meet several of them, which was a nice treat.

The classes were great, as well as all the other photographers I met. I was lucky enough to share a room with two fabulous photographers from Los Angeles, Meg Perotti and Heather Kincaid. I went to high school with Meg in Northern California and both of us went from being singers to photographers. We couldn’t believe the parallels in our lives and I’m very glad to have her as a friend and mentor. I met Heather through Meg and instantly knew why they are such good friends. Heather is just such a sweet and fun person. Along the way, Heather and Meg continuously introduced me to people they had met at the last WPPI, in Los Angeles or that they had just met a few hours ago. Meg happened to meet Lee Ann Fuller, a photographer from Wilmington, North Carolina and the owner of Half Moon Photography in one of her master classes with Jesh de Rox. After a long three days of classes, it was great to actually take some photos. She was kind enough to be our model. Thanks Lee Ann!
