Karla & Lucio’s Engagement Session at the Desert Botanical Gardens

Though it was quite hot when we met up in the evening, Karla & Lucio braved the heat gracefully. I had a wonderful time wandering through the Desert Botanical Gardens and photographing them in different locations and in different outfits. Karla even changed her jewelry and hair for the outfit changes!

They both look quite stunning. I’m looking forward to their wedding in just a few weeks!

Brianna & Wyck’s Engagement Session at Dreamy Draw in Phoenix, AZ

When Brianna and Wyck wanted to do their engagement session a few weeks ago, I tried to find the right way to break it to them that the best time would be 6am. Most of the time it takes a lot of convincing to get my brides and groom’s to get up and meet me shortly after sunrise.

This was not the case with Brianna and Wyck. Both were more than happy to get up early and I’m so glad we did. We got some amazing shots. At the last minute, they decided to bring along their wonderful dog Moose. I’m sure glad they did. Though he was a bit challenging at times as he was quite the explorer and Wyck had to run after him, it was a joy to meet him and photograph the three of them together.

Brianna & Wyck, thanks again for a fun morning! I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in March at the Wigwam!

Stephanie & Ian’s Engagement Session in Jerome

This past weekend, I headed up to Jerome to photograph Stephanie & Ian’s engagement session. I couldn’t wait to get this post of the blog! When I arrived, Stephanie and Ian treated me to lunch at The Haunted Hamburger, a Jerome favorite. Afterwards, we began our engagement session with a little surprise for Ian- photos at the Liberty Theater.

Stephanie & Ian, I had a great time with both of you and am looking forward to your October wedding!

Dana & Craig’s Engagement Session

Dana is a high school friend, so when she hired me to photograph her upcoming August wedding, I was very excited. They decided to do their engagement session in Santa Barbara because that’s where they met.

Though rain threatened our plans, we were fortunate to have a beautiful sunny day! With many different locations, outfit changes and laughs along the way, Dana and Craig’s engagement session was truly wonderful.

We started our session where they met. Dana & Craig lived a few doors down from each other.

Onto UCSB’s campus for some shots by the lagoon.

While shooting in front the of tower, we were invited to go to the top of it! Dana & Craig had never had the chance to go up the tower, so we jumped on the opportunity.

A music professor was giving a student a performance lesson with the bells. I love how the teacher and student are also in this photo and they have no idea!

Ashley & Justin’s Engagement Session

Since the Phoenix Art Museum was their first date, Ashley and Justin could think of no better place to take their engagement photos. We had a great time shooting both inside and outside. Thanks Ashley & Justin for a wonderful session!

Seth & Megan’s Engagement Session

Seth & Megan were a lot of fun to work with! I had a wonderful time photographing them as they prepare for their wedding this September. I really love this first shot of then strolling together in downtown Scottsdale.

Casey & Stephanie’s Engagement Session

As promised, here are some new photos!

I photographed Casey & Stephanie’s Engagement Session last week at the ASU Art Museum in Tempe. I was really excited to photograph an engagement session in a modern museum atmosphere. I am really happy with how the photos turned out.

Casey & Stephanie were wonderful to work with & even climbed on top of various objects as soon as I suggested the idea. I quickly found out that Stephanie was afraid of heights, but she was such a great sport and still allowed me to snap a few photos.

I am really excited to photograph their wedding on April 18th at Aldea!
